Yes—IV therapy is generally safe when it’s done by trained medical professionals using sterile equipment. In medical settings, IVs are used every day to give fluids, medicines, and nutrients quickly and effectively.
Like any treatment, there are small risks such as infection, bruising, or vein irritation, but these are rare when IVs are started and monitored properly. For most healthy people, IV therapy is well-tolerated and can be a safe way to get rehydrated or receive vitamins and medications when needed.
If you have certain health conditions, we’ll review your medical history first to make sure IV therapy is right for you.
-
The whole process will take 30-60 minutes to complete. There are a few forms to complete prior to your infusion as well as a quick medical assessment.
-
The frequency of IV therapy is determined on a patient-by-patient basis. We take a customized approach to suit your individual needs.
